Now that little by little Jessie J starts building a more stable name in the industry, she is ready to start working on her sophomore album and considering the kind of upbeat tracks that her debut album "Who You Are", you may think you could expect more of that but no no, Jessie J has shared that, instead, there "will be a lot more pain in the lyrics"!
Jessie J recently talked to Daily Star about her sophomore album, she stated:
"For the seven years before I signed my record deal I was in a bad place and I was scared that I couldn't get out of it. That’s why I wrote such upbeat music, as a way of trying to escape how I felt. Now that I am happier, I won’t be afraid to explore my pain... Not every song needs a happy ending"She also talked about her admiration for Adele and how she managed to encapsulate such strong emotions on her album "21"...
"She (Adele) said she’s worried everyone thinks she’s always going to be this broken-hearted woman because of the songs on 21. Those songs were just a moment in Adele’s life and that’s what music should be, a moment in time, an exaggeration of that moment condensed into a three-minute song..."Interesting! Well, I believe anything with strong emotions can be better than the lifeless "Domino", so go for it Jessie J!
